Partnering for growth: Plantclub’s year of collaborations
2023 was a year of exciting partnerships. From fostering new growth, to strengthening pre-existing ties, Plantclub collaborated with a variety of sustainable brands this year on a number of events.
Partnerships are key to any kind of movement. As a circular business, Plantclub is proud to partner with brands and designers holding their products and services to the same values.
From pop-up events with Levi’s, to a panel discussion with Circulee and NORNORM, this year we got to work with so many innovative brands that took our plants all over. Let’s recap some of our favorite collaborative moments from 2023:
1. NORNORM x Greentech Festival
Plantclub partner NORNORM, a circular furniture company, collaborated with us in June to green up their booth for this year’s Greentech Festival at Berlin’s Tegel airport. From automated waste sorting machines, to plant-based food for the future, the Greentech Festival highlights and celebrates the latest feats of sustainability in business. Plantclub installed a number of tropical plants to complement the warm features of their furniture display.
2. Plantclub at The Future Ways of Working panel discussion
In September, Plantclub joined NORNORM and green IT company Circulee at the historic Backfabrik for a panel discussion on circularity in business. At the discussion, Plantclub’s managing director, Isabella Scott, joined Thomas Gros, co-founder of Circulee, and Anders Jepsen, co-founder of Plantclub partner NORNORM, on stage. They discussed the importance of keeping circular systems closed, how data and AI could come into play in future sustainability measures, and how collaboration is key to green models of business.
“In a work context, collaboration is key. We will not solve the problems of the Earth working solo and running alone. There’s a saying: If you want to run fast, go alone. But if you want to run far, you have to go together,” said Thomas.
3. Plantclub x Cradle 2 Cradle
Cradle 2 Cradle is an NGO that works towards promoting circularity in organizations, businesses, and individuals. In September we worked with Cradle 2 Cradle to transform their congress at Technical University of Berlin into an indoor jungle. The meeting hall was accented with leafy palms and sprawling philodendron, the perfect setting for a meeting of green minds.
4. Levi’s x Plantclub
Our plants in some sturdy denim? Yes please! This November, Plantclub was brought on by BAM Productions to supply plants for Levi’s pop-up events in Berlin and Hamburg where they were fitted in some iconic Levi’s denim for their cafe showrooms.
5. Plantitecture: Designing Spaces with Plants in Mind
In the cold of December, our plants found a warm home in a temporary sales gallery in Kreuzberg. Plantitecture: Designing Spaces with Plants in Mind saw a collaboration between Plantclub, design and architecture studio Coordination, product and interior designer llot llov, and Slang design studio which brought our plants into an exhibition exploring the principles of biophilic design.
In 2024 Plantclub is looking forward to nurturing our partnerships further and meeting with more of our community in-person. Stay tuned to see where our plants take us next!
