Working in a green oasis: The MYL BERLIN office.
Here at Plantclub, we take care of the watering (and all the other plant care) to make sure our members’ greenery stays looking its best. We stopped for a chat at the MYL BERLIN office on one of these regular visits, to see how they were enjoying their green workplace.
Founded in 2018 by creative director Sebastian Pladwig, MYL BERLIN is a design label that offers a fresh take on clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Through their sleek and minimalist designs, MYL BERLIN (pronounced Müll, like the German word for trash) celebrates difference. Made from high-quality materials – such as cotton, saddle leather, pearls, and stainless steel – their collection includes masks, mouth jewelry, and bags.
MYL BERLIN vocally champions equality and inclusivity. Here’s what Seb, the Founder and CEO had to say: “At MYL BERLIN we love variety, diversity, and excitement. We live and fight for an open, equal world in which everyone can show themselves and act as they want. Plants are a literal symbol of this naturalness and development.”
Big plants help divide the office into different areas.
Our design concept for the space hoped to reflect these values. We brought in a selection of standing plants with different textures – to fill the workplace with a diverse range of greenery.
This variety complements the industrial features of the MYL BERLIN office space, located in an alt-bau building in the trendy Kreuzberg neighborhood.
By installing plants at different heights and grouping pots in clusters, we used greenery to divide the space. This allowed for more privacy, and improved acoustics in the open office. We spoke to Toni, a Designer, about what it’s like to work at MYL BERLIN – and asked how the new greenery has added to their workplace.
“MYL BERLIN gives everyone the freedom to express their creativity and to breathe. Plants therefore play a very important role in our office. In our large office they are a great eye-catcher beside our products – and bring calmness and diversion at the same time.”

“MYL BERLIN offers the best jobs – in the narrower as well as in the broader sense. I can design my desk and its surroundings completely myself, and I think it's wonderful to sit right next to green plants. I also think it's great that the plants are looked after.”
