Green workplaces: ultimate.ai

Here at Plantclub, we believe everyone should feel the benefits of a green workplace. We swung by the ultimate.ai office, to take some photos of their recently-transformed space and see how they’re enjoying the new office plants.

Since founding 4 years ago, ultimate.ai has been supporting companies to improve their customer service with artificial intelligence. Using natural language processing, their custom-built algorithm analyzes conversations—in any language—so that chatbots can resolve queries faster and more intelligently.

Their technology frees up support agents from responding to repetitive customer requests and allows up to 70% of chat and email conversations to be automated. Currently their AI helps deliver multilingual customer service in over 100 languages.

The Ultimate.ai team are so happy we didn’t even have to ask them to pose for photos…

We dropped into the ultimate.ai Berlin office (they have another location in Helsinki) in the heart of Kreuzberg to do a bit of watering. Spanning the top floor of an old industrial building, their office space covers approximately 400 square meters, in a vibrant area near Moritzplatz.

To make use of the space afforded by high ceilings, and complement the vision of interior designer, Paula Andrea, our design concept included plenty of hanging and cascading greenery. This was combined with large standing plants to brighten up empty corners.

We installed desk-side planters to surround employees with leafy foliage, without taking up precious desk space. Teaming up with sygns, we created a statement planter filled with beautiful plants, complete with the company name in a neon sign.

While there, we asked a couple of employees what they thought about the new greenery. This is what Sarah, the COO, had to say:

“We love Plantclub. The office has been transformed overnight—the plants instantly make the space brighter and more replenishing. The team were so excited about the changes and the employee store was a nice perk for everyone to be able to bring a little plant-love home.”

Speaking to Laura, ultimate.ai’s People and Culture Manager, we got her take on how the plants had impacted on employees:

“I think as humans we have an innate need to be connected with nature. Bringing nature into the office, with lots of plants and greenery, definitely enhances the space. It gives you energy while also being relaxing and restorative—the perfect atmosphere for creativity and focus.”

Cascading pothos plants are a great way of bringing nature to shared spaces like kitchens.

Laura gave us the down-low on what it’s like to work at ultimate.ai, saying “it has a great culture of openness, respect and ambition. It's just a really happy and supportive environment, with smart people who are passionate about their work.” Sounds like your kind of company? Then check out their careers page to see if there’s a space for you in their growing team.

We hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of the stunning ultimate.ai office!
